- The Covid-19 positivity rate in Central Visayas is still high: 13.16% (431 tested positive out 3,274 swab samples)
- World Health Organization (WHO) Guidelines: Positivity rate should be lower then 5% to ensure that the community transmission is under control and that the number of swab tests is adequate
- High positivity rate indicates uncontrolled community transmission and lack of testing
- Uncontrolled community transmission can be addressed partially with intensified contact tracing and more swab testing so that all close contacts can be treated and isolated before they can infect more people
