Mass booklet for the Quincentennial Mass with Pope Francis on March 14 can be downloaded here

    The Quincentennial Mass with Pope Francis will be on the Altar of the Chair of St. Peter.

    There will be 10 concelebrants, with Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle (Prefect, Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples) and Cardinal Angelo Di Donatis (Pope Francis' Vicar for Rome).

    The Philippines is the world's third largest Catholic country (after Brazil and Mexico) and has the largest number of English-speaking Catholics.

    Some 60% of Asian Catholics are Filipinos.



Pope Francis Leads Celebration of the 500th Anniversary of Christianity in Cebu and the Philippines

 


POPE Francis will celebrate the Quincentennial (500th) Anniversary of Christianity in Cebu and the Philippines with a mass on March 14, 2021, at the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.

The mass will be attended by Philippine Cardinal Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, prefect of Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, and Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, the pope's vicar of Rome.

Cebuanos and Filipinos around the world can view the mass through livestreaming from the Vatican.

Vatican invited Filipinos "to pray, praise and thank God for his gift of the Christian faith."

“Gifted to Give” from Matthew’s Gospel (10:9) was chosen as the theme for the celebration.

Pope Francis Designates Cardinal Tagle the Newest Member of Vatican's Central Bank

 


Pope Francis appoints Filipino Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle as a member of Vatican's central bank. Tagle is now a member of the Administration of the Patrimony of the Apostolic See (APSA) which manages Vatican's treasury.
