POPE Francis will celebrate the Quincentennial (500th) Anniversary of Christianity in Cebu and the Philippines with a mass on March 14, 2021, at the St. Peter's Basilica in Rome.
The mass will be attended by Philippine Cardinal Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle, prefect of Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, and Cardinal Angelo De Donatis, the pope's vicar of Rome.
Cebuanos and Filipinos around the world can view the mass through livestreaming from the Vatican.
Vatican invited Filipinos "to pray, praise and thank God for his gift of the Christian faith."
“Gifted to Give” from Matthew’s Gospel (10:9) was chosen as the theme for the celebration.
